In safety footwear in particular, given their heavy use and the critical importance of performance (slip resistance, water repellency, etc.), this care becomes even more relevant. Therefore, determined to guarantee maximum comfort and protection even after several months of use, we provide here some tips to best preserve your Giasco footwear.
Open the shoe tightly before inserting the foot and if necessary use a shoehorn to avoid subjecting the buttress (insert present in the heel between the upper and the linings) to continuous pressure.
Fasten the shoe correctly to prevent the foot from moving inside and rubbing against the lining, wearing it and the sock.
Reduce the moisture emanating from the human foot, which causes unpleasant odors, which is absorbed and accumulated by the shoe. For this reason, allow them to air out, possibly extracting the insole, in a ventilated place after use.
4 Remove dirt periodically with a soft brush or damp cloth and then apply nourishing and polishing products evenly to the upper to strengthen the leather and prevent external agents from affecting its initial characteristics.
In case of wet footwear, keep away from radiators or heat sources, as they would dry the shoe making it hard and chapped. Instead, stuff your shoes with newsprint, so as to allow for fast moisture absorption.
